Dayton Power & Light Customers: Start Saving Today
You’ll continue to receive a monthly bill from Dayton Power & Light. In most cases, this bill will contain our charges as well, and you will only receive and pay one bill. A small number of large business customers receiving specialized rates may receive two bills (one from Dayton Power & Light and one from DPL Energy Resources).
Back to TopYour savings will begin with the utility meter reading date after the utility processes your enrollment. Typically, you’ll see the savings on the bill you receive approximately six weeks after accepting our offer.
Back to TopIf you’re a residential customer and on a percentage discount plan, your rate will change whenever the utility’s rates change. Your price will go down or up as the generation and transmission rates decrease or increase. And you will continue to receive the percent off savings. If you’re a business customer and under a fixed price agreement, that price will remain constant through the term.
Back to TopIt is the monthly service charge which covers DPL Energy Resources' costs to administer this agreement with the utility. Residential customers do not pay this fee.
Back to TopNo, when switching to another provider there will be no interruption in your electric service. The switch will take place in conjunction with your regular meter reading.
Back to TopYou will continue to call Dayton Power & Light at 877-468-8243 if you experience a power outage.
Back to TopOur online offers do not require special electric meters.
Large businesses with specialized plans may require meter changes. We’ll work with you to decide what is needed. Just give us a call at 888-674-3753.
Back to TopDayton Power & Light should send you a letter to confirm your switch to DPL Energy Resources or DP&L Energy. You have seven days from the post mark date of that letter to call Dayton Power & Light to rescind your switch. After that, you will be set up to receive your generation service from us until our contract ends. If you terminate your agreement prior to the end of our contract, an early termination fee may apply.
Back to TopDPL Energy has committed resources to meet your needs through the term of our agreement. If you cancel your agreement early, there will likely be an early termination charge. The early termination fee is listed in the Terms and Conditions. Read the Terms & Conditions for residential or the Terms & Conditions for small businesses. Large business customers may have unique early termination charges.
